A Special 1066 BlackStripe Restoration
With JJ’s Tractor Painting
From September/October 2026
Recently I made a trip up to Wisconsin to visit my brother, Farmer Mark, and sister, Maria, for some quality sibling time, but the real purpose that prompted this particular trip was to see a restored 1066 Black Stripe, and it did not disappoint. A beautifully done, better than show room new, sparkling red beauty to be very proud of!
The owner, Jim Burgman, was there with his family to share his 1066 Black Stripe with us. His son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Kyla, and wife, Toni. Also, there was John Langer, owner of JJ’s Tractor Painting, who did the wonderful paint restoration on this 1066, and his father and mother, Ron and Darlene Langer. It was extra special for them to be there as well, not only to see the 1066 in all its glory, but also Ron helped John take the 1066 apart before not being able to work on tractors anymore. This was the last tractor he was able to work on.
