Evan Briggs-Subscriber spotlight

Hello my name is Evan Briggs, and I live in Pilesgrove New Jersey. My passion for IH began at a very young age, due to the fact that the farmer behind my house ran mostly IH equipment. I became mesmerized by these red beauties working the land. As a child my parents got me several Ertl IH tractor models, and as a kid I made my own little farm and tractor collection. Fast forward to age 15, when I began working for a friend of mine, who owned a small engine repair business, and a tractor parts business. When I wasn’t working on lawnmower repairs, I began working on antique tractors and also helped part out tractors, for the eBay business. I did this for several years and saved up enough money to buy my very first tractor, a 1941 Farmall AV., at age 17. For the past 25 years I have restored around 50 antique tractors. I am self-taught, and do all my own mechanical, body and paint work, I even did this full time for a while. My current collection consists of a 1941 Farmall AV, 1945 Farmall A, 1945 Farmall H, 1947 Farmall BN, 1946 A, 1950 Cub, and 1953 Stage 2 Super M, and several cub cadet garden tractors. My favorite show is the annual threshermen’s reunion, held at Rough And Tumble Engineers Historical Association in Kinzers, PA. I have been attending this show for the past 25 years also. The AV is my favorite IH Tractor, due to being the first tractor I ever restored myself. I have grown from a young child dreaming of red tractors to an adult now using my red beauties on a regular basis on a small hay farm I own along with my Girlfriend, Kim. Farmalls have been a huge part of my life, which continues to fuel my red power fever into the future. Someday I hope to have the whole letter series.
