Today’s Owners
Jeff & Geneva Miesner – Owners & Editors of Red Power Magazine
Jeff and Geneva are proud to continue the Red Power legacy as the son and daughter-in-law of Dennis and Sallie Miesner. Based in Ida Grove, Iowa, they are raising their four children while carrying forward a publication that has been a part of their lives for years. With deep roots in farming, antique tractor pulls, and collecting, International Harvester has always been close to home.
Their goal is simple: Preserve what makes Red Power special while continuing to grow and serve the community. You’ll find them connecting with readers on the phone, at tractor shows, at Red Power Round Ups and throughout the pages of each issue.

A Family Legacy
Red Power Magazine has remained a family-driven publication for decades. Dennis and Sallie Miesner purchased the magazine in 2000 from founder Daryl Miller and spent over two decades growing it into a trusted resource for IH enthusiasts across the country. Through their dedication, the magazine became more than just a publication, it became a community. As of January 1, 2025, Dennis and Sallie passed the baton to the next generation.

Meet the Red Power Featured Writers

Ron (the Tractor Doctor) and Jo Anne O’Neill
We live in Oshkosh Wisconsin. Jo Anne graduated from high school in 1970. Ron graduated in 1965. After high school Ron did 2 years at Fox Valley Technical College for automotive mechanics. After Technical College Ron spent a couple of years as an IH apprentice. In 1972-73 Ron built a repair shop and became his own boss, restoring old tractors mechanically and some cosmetically. The rest is history.
Our hobbies; those are simple. We do not travel. We enjoy time at home with our Border Collies and doing anything outdoors; yardwork, limited cash crops on our ‘hobby farm’, fall pumpkins, potted mums, and produce (this will be our 25th year). From early September until mid-October this is our ‘fulltime’ job seven days a week, and in the winter when conditions are favorable, we enjoy cross country skiing in our backyard with our Border Collies.
Ron started writing technical articles for Redpower in 2009.
