Dealing with Decals

Hi everyone! I hope your spring is going well. We have had some really nice days recently and that seems to have lifted everyone’s spirits. One of our employees, Austin, and I did get a nice break at the Florida Flywheelers show at the end of February. However, the first morning we were there, I think the temperature got down to 33°! The temperatures rebounded though and were in the 70s and even 80s by the end of the show. I usually bring at least one of my daughters along with me to Florida but this year the two that are still in high school, Kelly and Kenna, were both in the high school musical, “Les Misérables”, which was opening during the Flywheelers trip. Incidentally, the weekend after I got home, the musical had three more shows so I was able to attend those and see them perform. While in Florida, I still had Austin and some other friends and customers at the show so I had help loading and unloading, driving Here’s the WD40 we took to the Florida Flywheeler’s Show. As I said before, we took a WD-40, 10–20 Titan, and an 8–16 Mogul along with a Cub Cadet model 70.

A good customer of ours brought the Farmall 230 that we had restored for him as well so we had a nice representation of our work down there. I have to say that I really appreciate all the folks who came by and said how much they enjoy my articles in this magazine. That always motivates me to keep writing. As I said in my last article, the Mogul was incomplete at the show. We had not welded the intake half of the head for that engine yet so it came along as a non- running machine. I’m pretty sure it was the only Mogul there, so I was very glad we brought it. There were many people who came by and said they had never seen such a nice looking Mogul before. Thank you for the compliments! I can’t wait to show it off this summer as a running machine.
